From top to bottom, the Polygon Cozmic29 RX2.0 screams performance, value and durability. With all components on the bike completely revised for this year, the RX2.0 presents itself as a trustworthy steed, capable of Cross Country Racing, fitness training or even the fun ride amongst friends at the local trails.
For the frame, Polygon have kept the same recipe that saw Mariske Strauss winning countless races in Under-23 World Cups and scoring a top 8 in last years Commonwealth Games. The ACX Advance carbon frame shape and tube width will be the first aspect of this bike that captures your attention. Using tube to tube construction, Polygon have been able to shape every individual section of the frame for optimal weight, stiffness and power transmission. From the tapered headtube, to the square shaped downtube and the oversized bottom bracket, everything in this bike is designed to make you go faster. Comfort was not overlooked and the addition of a more elastic carbon fibre on the seatstays and toptube will soak up those little bumps and hits on the trail, keeping you fresh for the uphills. The RX2.0 frame also features front and rear thru axle and short chainstays for improved frame stiffness and to keep the bike nimble and alive.
The front suspension on the RX2 is handled a RockShox Reba RL, RockShox’s best value XC fork. Motion Control, Solo Air, Rebound, Remote Lockout, Low Speed Compression and 32mm stanchions are Race Ready in what is RockShox’s most consistent, durable and easy to service fork in their line up.
To keep you rolling fast, the Mavic CrossRide wheels are another very welcome addition to the RX 2. Mavic Crossride is Mavic’s best value wheelset for mountain biking, XC Racing, all the way to Trail riding and even Enduro. These wheels are the perfect combination of strength, durability, performance and lightweight. Featuring Mavic’s sealed bearings and Transfer System 2, this is a wheelset that is unlikely you will ever need to upgrade. These wheels are wrapped in a set of Schwalbe Racing Ralph tyres.
Finally, the drivetrain is powered by a Shimano SLX and Shimano XT transmission with 20 gears and a Clutch Rear Derailleur to keep chain slapping to a minimum and fun to an all-time high. Completing this bike is a Fizik Tundra saddle and Polygon’s in-house peripherals brand Entity Xpert for cockpit and seatpost.
